of Brookway Dental to give something back to the

Vicki Espy
 |
Vicki Espy has been a part of Brookway Dental longer than anyone
here except Dr. Doty (Since October 1997). She graduated from
the University of Mississippi at the Medical Center in 1992 with a
B.S. in Dental Hygiene. Since then she has maintained her
Registered Dental Hygienist license, as well as her CPR
certification.
Vicki has been happily married to John Espy for over 15 years and
commutes daily from her lovely home in Monticello. They have
two vivacious children who keep them on their toes. Joanna is
a budding artist and plays the flute for Rod Paige Middle School
Band. Noah is a future soccer Olympian and also enjoys
baseball, Cub Scouts. Both children are deeply involved with
the children’s mission organizations, GA’s and RA’s, at Beth Baptist
Church.
For quality family time, they all enjoy riding 4-wheelers on Fair
River, skiing with friends or taking off with their camper for a
getaway

Virginia Davis
 |
Virginia Davis, or G.G, as she is affectionately known far and
wide, originally came to work for Dr. Doty in March 1997. The
practice was small then, and she had to not only learn, but be ready
to perform, every aspect: from the front desk to assisting the
dentist. She has tried other professions and other
practices…having always kept an eye out for greener pastures…but her
strong connection to Brookway Dental brought her back again in March
’08 as a fulltime dental assistant.
The scope of our practice has broadened since those early days so
that, although she was already CPR certified and held her Radiology
license (from Meridian, MS), Virginia was excited to have the
opportunity to go to Nashville and Dallas recently for additional
training. We are proud of her for completing the “Oral
Sedation Dentistry” course, along with associated techniques
necessary for “Airway Manager” and “Ventilator,” as well as two
courses in “Orthodontic Staff Training Program.”
You can’t be around Virginia without hearing about her WONDERFUL
grandchildren: Kolby, and Brady Hart and Mia and Noah Davis, proudly
presented to her by her two children: Rusty Allen Davis and Mandy
Louise Hart, respectively.
Virginia’s fiancé is retired Captain, Brookhaven Fire Department.
They share a great love for their grandchildren and DANCING!

DeAnna Simpson
 |
DeAnna Simpson, world traveler and hygienist extraordinaire, came
to us from the U.S. Virgin Islands in February 2008. Holding
an Associate of Science Degree from Pearl River Community College
(1994), after completing Dental Assistant requirements at Hinds
Community College in 1990, Deanna worked in specialty wellness
practice, combining dental and medical treatment of medically
compromised patients. She also worked with the St. Thomas
Infectious Disease Clinic and the Ryan White Program. Outside
of the office, Deanna enjoys traveling, scuba diving sailing and
kayaking. We have delighted to benefit from her professional
and personal experiences…and did we mention that she LOVES cats?!?!

Libby Hewitt
|
Libby has been part of the Brookway Dental family for over 5
years – but she has been a part of Dr. Doty’s family a lot longer.
In fact, he is married to her youngest sister, Sally. No
in-law jokes, ok! It works for us.
Using her bachelor’s degree in Secretarial Science from
Mississippi University for Women, Libby has experience in a variety
of business environments: law firms, a Fortune 500 manufacturing
conglomerate, higher education and even an advertising agency.
This background has uniquely prepared her for the many “behind the
scenes” facets of a thriving dental practice.
Last year Libby’s adventurous nature took her to Okinawa, Japan,
where she visited her daughter Casey and her husband (USAF Captain
Brian Knauf). This summer she will return to help them welcome
her first grandchild, Peter, who is expected around June 26.
Luckily, Libby’s other daughter, Emily (chemical engineer for the
AL Dept. of Environmental Mgmt.), and her husband (Adam Anderson,
civil engineer with the AL Dept. of Transportation) live much closer
(Montgomery, AL).
Long-time residents of the Brookhaven/McComb area may have had
the opportunity to hear Libby’s husband, Charlie, entertain at the
old Dixie Springs restaurant. Charlie and Libby share a deep
love of music/theatre and attend musical performances and plays
whenever possible.
